Oak Gazebo FAQ

Who will build my oak-frame gazebo?

We can fit your oak-frame gazebo or you can DIY. Read our How It All Works page to see how the process works and what options and support are available.

Do I need planning permission for an oak gazebo?

The need for planning permission depends on various factors, such as the size and location of your gazebo. We can guide you through the planning permission process and provide advice specific to your project. Most gazebos will not require planning permission, as long as they meet certain criteria: 1. The structure is less than 2.5m in height from the existing ground level 2. The gazebo is less than 2m from the property boundary 3. Gazebos and outbuildings should not be closer to the road or public walkway than the original house.

Do I have to pay up front?

We understand your concerns about upfront payments and the security of your investment. Our payment terms are designed to offer peace of mind and protect your interests. We typically require a deposit to initiate the project, with the remaining balance payable just prior to delivery and if we are fitting, balance is due on completion.

Do you offer any guarantees on the project?

Of course. We offer a manufacturer’s warranty that’s really simple, if any component has an issue that makes it unfit for purpose structurally, we replace it with no quibbles. We pride ourselves on our reputation and word of mouth is a critical part of our success. We don’t leave our customers out to dry when it comes to customer service.

Can you provide visual representations of the final product?

Yes, we understand the importance of visualising the final result. We can provide detailed renderings, 3D models even augmented reality to help you visualise your oak gazebo before construction begins. These visual representations will assist you in making informed decisions and ensure that the final product meets your expectations.

How can I get in touch with your team to discuss my specific needs?

We are here to assist you with any inquiries or to discuss your specific needs. Ideally, just fill in the form above, then you can browse our product range. You can also reach our sales team by phone at 01580 880344 or by email at inbox@tradeoak.com We are available to schedule a consultation at your convenience and help you take the first steps toward building your dream oak gazebo.

How long will my oak framed gazebo last?

Barring catastrophe such as a fire, you can reasonably expect an oak framed gazebo to be standing when your grandchildren inherit your property. Keep in mind that while it is not absolutely necessary you do have the option of treating the oak with various finishes, which will likely extend its life expectancy to an even greater degree.

What about delivery and installation?

We provide free delivery to many locations so be sure to ask when inquiring about an oak gazebo for your property. Upon delivery, we make sure all the components are carefully unloaded so as to avoid damage. Each oak gazebo kit comes with comprehensive instructions that will allow the gazebo to be assembled by an experienced DIYer or a construction contractor of the customer's choice. In most cases, your oak gazebo can be assembled in a single day.

Why choose a Trade Oak oak-framed gazebo kit?

Gazebo grandeur

An oak-frame gazebo elevates the aesthetic appeal of your property, delivering timeless elegance while offering exceptional durability. Estate agents often cite the impact of curb appeal on property value and an oak-framed gazebo can add value to any property.

Customised functionality

Opting for a bespoke oak-frame gazebo allows for tailored functionality that may not be achievable with off-the-shelf alternatives. While pre-made kits offer flexibility in design, a bespoke gazebo enables you to create spaces suited to your unique needs.

Timeless charm

In a world dominated by synthetic materials, the natural allure of wood stands out, imparting a sense of tradition and warmth. Whether left exposed internally to showcase its organic beauty or treated minimally for exterior longevity, oak embodies rustic elegance that complements any landscape.

Traditional beauty

Synthetic materials can be cheap and versatile, but materials such as plastic lack the aesthetic and soul of natural materials such as wood and stone. Wood is also sustainable.

Environmentally friendly

Whether you customise one of our existing oak-frame kits or opt for framing designed specifically for you from the ground up, you’ll be supporting the environment because timber has the lowest carbon footprint of any building material.

Why choose Trade Oak for your oak gazebo?

Trade value

A new gazebo involves several stages, from design and materials sourcing to fashioning materials and construction. Choosing an oak gazebo kit from Trade Oak means you bypass much of that expense and ensure a higher-quality outcome.

This is because the design of our oak-framed gazebo kits has already been done. In addition, we purchase the oak timber used in your gazebo in bulk, which enables us to keep material acquisition costs down. And because the individual components are crafted using our state-of-the-art CNC machine, each of our gazebo kits fits together with stunning precision.

Bespoke design

For those seeking something beyond the ordinary, our bespoke design services are here to bring your dream gazebo to life. Whether you envision a multi-tiered marvel with sweeping views or a cosy hideaway tucked amidst lush foliage, we’re ready to collaborate with you on crafting a one-of-a-kind oak-framed gazebo. So, if your gazebo aspirations extend beyond what you see here, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Expertise

Each and every component of your oak-frame gazebo kit is meticulously engineered from QP-1 European Green Oak; the same type of wood being used in the restoration of Notre Dame. All cuts are made using our state-of-the-art CNC milling machine which is capable of creating joints that are accurate to within millimetres.

Endurance and legacy

This type of accuracy ensures that your oak-framed gazebo will stand up to whatever mother nature can throw at it and has the potential to still be standing in 200 years or more.
