Oak garden rooms by Trade Oak Building Kits are an ideal way to expand and enrich your domestic experience. They add extra living space, can be put to virtually any type of use, and are made using durable, high-quality green oak wood. Create a home office, a detached gaming room for the kids, a workshop to indulge your creativity or a clubhouse by the pool. Whatever you can imagine our oak framed garden structures can provide.
For that perfect, tailor-made fit, work together with our expert design team to create your own bespoke oak framed extension.
Our green oak building kits provide an abundance of benefits that other building materials simply can’t match, including:
Sustainability Focus - While concrete is commonly recognised as a significant building material, it's worth noting that the concrete industry contributes to a substantial 5% of global greenhouse gas emissions. At Trade Oak, we prioritise environmental responsibility by utilising sustainably sourced green oak for our Oak Frame Extensions. Notably, green oak boasts exceptional longevity and leaves a minimal carbon footprint.
Timeless Appeal - Oak is known for its beauty and sophistication. At Trade Oak, we embrace this timeless appeal, crafting creations that deliver the same classic charm.
Easy assembly - Our Oak Frame Extension kits are engineered to exacting standards and milled to perfection using our state-of-the-art machining capabilities; each component of each kit fits together with a high level of precision and durability.
Low maintenance - Low maintenance - Compared with other building materials, green oak requires little, if anything, in the form of maintenance. Oak is naturally moisture resistant and does not require any special treatment to last for centuries.
Added value - A home extension is always a good way to add value to a property, but with an Oak Framed Extension, the boost in value you experience should be even greater than normal. That's because most people consider oak to be a luxury material, and the Oak Framed Extension can easily last a lifetime.
We offer a variety of Oak Extension kits that will enable you to realise your home extension dreams in spectacular fashion.
Oak Framed Conservatories
Conservatories have a rich history in Britain, spanning over 500 years and experiencing a notable resurgence in recent times. At Trade Oak, we offer Oak Framed Conservatory extension kits that provide an ideal solution for enhancing your property. Whether you seek to embrace warmth and natural light during chilly winters or desire a custom-designed conservatory tailored to your unique needs, our team of designers will collaborate closely to ensure your vision becomes a reality.
Oak Framed Garden Rooms
At Trade Oak, we specialise in crafting tailored Oak Framed Garden Rooms. These unique spaces serve as versatile extensions, seamlessly integrated with your outdoor surroundings. Our skilled designers work closely with you to create a bespoke garden room, complete with exquisite oak detailing and a welcoming ambience. Whether you seek a serene retreat, a vibrant entertainment area, or a flexible workspace, our Oak Framed Garden Rooms can enhance both your property and lifestyle.
Oak Framed Orangeries
An Oak Framed Orangery extension will add elegance to your home. This type of airy, light-filled living space can be an extension of your kitchen/dining area or serve as a waypoint between the living room and patio. The orangery typically features a glazed roof lantern to optimise natural light penetration and can be finished in any way you wish. Add bi-fold doors, slate floors or any other luxurious touches you have in mind.
Will you need to submit a planning application to put an Oak Framed Extension on your home? It depends on the following factors.
Factor 1: The size of the extension - Planning permission is not required for your Oak Extension if it meets certain criteria. It should not be more than 4 metres high, should not occupy more than half the available land around the house, should not be on the front or side of the house, and should not extend more than 8 metres beyond the back wall of the house.
Factor 2: The style of the extension - Planning regulations state that an extension must use at least some materials seen in the existing house. You have some leeway here in that your existing home does not have to be oak framed. The home and extension just need to share some design characteristics. That could be roofing materials, the style of the gutters, flooring materials or something else.
A 2-storey Oak Framed Extension will need planning permission, but it is entirely possible that your single-storey extension will fall under “permitted development” and will not. Still, if you have any questions or doubts it is always best to check with the local authority before you just go ahead and build something that may violate existing building regulations. You can save some time by conducting a bit of research on the Planning Portal website.
At Trade Oak, we put a premium on customer service and make a point to work closely with each customer from Day 1 to ensure they get exactly what they want. Every aspect of our business operation is designed to facilitate customer satisfaction and to ensure that the quality of the finished product meets or exceeds the most optimistic expectations.
